Colin Davies
Consultant
Colin has over 35 years in the Financial Payments industry, working closely with major retailers that include J Sainsbury, Morrisons, and Toys R US. More recently, Colin has been involved in the integration of loyalty technology with payment to deliver real time reward solutions on behalf of retailers and Banks.
Colin's consultancy expertise is in the area of both product development and change management. Having undertaken a number of roles for Barclaycard in recent years, Colin has been at the forefront of leading edge Point of Sale innovation.
Colin has a wealth of technical and operational knowledge, he has been instrumental in the introduction of ICC, Chip and PIN and CVV to the UK, operating in close association with the UK Payments Standards and EMV co.
Colin continues to lead some of the more technical consulting roles undertaken by LCUK, working at the cutting edge of mobile phone payments, assisting in the development and trial of NFC technology with Visa and Mastercard.
Colin's contribution to LCUK marries the world of payment and loyalty, he recently completed a long term engagement with Barclaycard, designing the retailer's user interface for the Barclaycard Freedom loyalty scheme. Under this engagement he has project managed vendor developments that include Commidea, Logic Group and Ingenico.
